The Center for Fine Art Photography (Fort Collins)
August 30- September 28, 2013
- Gallery Reception: Friday September 6th from 6-9pm
(from the press release)
Water is the essence of all life but is becoming a scarce resource. In the upcoming photography exhibition Water! at The Center for Fine Art Photography, this visually stunning entity is explored in its many forms and uses: liquid, clouds, steam, snow and ice, to calm us, inspire us, and shape our landscape. The artists displayed in Water! highlight its symbolic, coveted, transformational, and political properties. Come explore water and it’s complexity at The Center for Fine Art Photography.
The Water! exhibition was juried by the highly sought after Wally Mason, director of the Haggerty Museum of Art. Mason has curated over 90 exhibitions and is renowned both nationally and internationally. The exhibit will open to the public on First Friday, September 6th. The public and artists reception will be held the same day from 6-9 p.m. to celebrate the selected artists at The Center for Fine Art Photography in Fort Collins, CO.
Water will be on exhibit in the Center's Online Gallery at c4fap.org, and in the Main Gallery at 400 North College Avenue, Fort Collins, Colorado from August 30- September 28, 2013. The artists' and public reception will take place September 6, 2013; from 6 - 9p.m.
Please join the Center and artists from across the globe, for an evening of art, inspiration, and community. This exhibition is made possible thanks to the generous support of the City of Fort Collins Fort Fund Grant and a Colorado Creates Grant. Since 2004, The Center for Fine Art Photography has been a preeminent supporter of photography.
