A world of small wonders lies in store as Evergreen Fine Art Gallery & Sculpture Garden prepares to unveil its seventh annual Miniature Masterpieces exhibition on Saturday, November 19, 2016, 2-5 pm.

This year’s much-anticipated celebration of scale will feature works by 50 large talents presented in delightfully diminutive dimensions. Miniature Masterpieces offers a rare opportunity to marvel at the patience, concentration and immense skill needed to render a universe of beauty in less than 120 square inches. The invitational event will also afford art collectors the opportunity to add some very prominent signatures to their personal gallery at more modest prices.

“Miniature Masterpieces is an absolute favorite around the holidays,” says Evergreen Fine Arts’ Gallery Director, Doug Kacena. “It’s perfect for entry-level collectors who are just beginning to build their collections, and it’s a good opportunity for more established collectors to fill in the gaps in their collections. There’ll be several pieces by each artist, and one of the fun things about the show is that the themes and subjects are all over the board.” Taos artist and nationally acclaimed oil painter Walt Gonske, for example, may provide a Lilliputian look at a variety of subject matter. Denver artist Robert Spooner, will certainly display a striking selection of paintings, and Pem Dunn of Evergreen is sure to portray nature’s grand pageant upon the smallest of stages.

Among many others who’ll be doing their best and their smallest for Miniature Masterpieces, and who’ll be glad to discuss their work at the exhibit opening, are highly regarded landscape masters such as Dave Santillanes, Susiehyer, Keith Bond, Kevin Weckbach, oil painter on stainless steel Mai Wyn Schantz, nationally esteemed wildlife artist Edward Aldrich, still life virtuoso Kelli Folsom and abstract painter Karen Roehl. In addition, a selection of noted sculptors such as Pati Stajcar, Sandy Graves, Stephen LeBlanc, and Rosetta will create miniature masterpieces in subtle shades of bronze and stone.
