 Denver artists: here's a chance to get your artwork in front of Westword visual arts reviewer Michael Paglia. Space gallery on Santa Fe will be hosting a juried show titled "Untitled" from July 11 - August 16, with the deadline for submissions being July 9.
I checked the Space website (http://spacegallery.org) and there was no info to be found so best to call the gallery at 720.904.1088 for more info. Space Gallery is located at 765 Santa Fe.(from the press release:) Specifics: Submissions are $10 per piece with no limitations on size, number of works, medium or subject matter. The artist retains 70% of the sale of their artwork. Works that do not make the jury selection should be picked within a week of notification. Artists will be notified by e-mail or by phone. All works should have two copies of the submission form securely attached to the back or base of the artwork. Submission forms should be photocopied by the artist to provide proof of submission and receipt of fees. All works should be wired or otherwise fitted with the appropriate hardware suitable for hanging. Artworks that do not fit with the standards indicated above will be eliminated from the jury process. Best of Show: The ‘best of show’ will win an exhibition at Space Gallery in 2008. Cash Prizes: Three $50 cash prizes will be awarded on opening night for commended work. Drop-Off: Please drop off work between July 8st and July 9th during regular business hours Noon - 6pm. Notification: Artist will be notified either by e-mail or phone as to whether their submission was successful by July 10th. Pick-up: Artwork that does not make the jury selection should be collected on either Thursday July 10th noon-6pm or Friday July 11th noon-4pm. Artwork that does make the jury selection will be hanging at Space Gallery from July 11th through August 16th and can be collected (unless sold) on Thursday August 17th or Friday August 18th from noon-6pm. |
