(from the press release)

Oceanside, California artist Anita Lewis paints abstract representations of nature that evoke a sense of the Colorado landscape. From broad abstract landscapes to close-up glimpses of nature like a forest sanctuary, Lewis creates a story with her imagery that relates differently to each viewer. As a former interior designer who lived in Europe most of her life, Lewis understands the color and texture relationships that are present in modern design and applies them to her work.

The exhibition of work in the side gallery by Austin, Texas artist Kevin Greer will concentrate on works that reveal his interpretation of the shores and skies. Greer is inspired by textures, mark-making, the rhythm of cursive, and the gradients of colors in the sky. Many of his pieces are abstract landscapes, combining geometric with organic forms. This is the first exhibition of Greer’s work in Colorado.
