Joshua Field - Thinking About What Hides Inside

Artists Joshua Field, Denis Roussel, Margaret Kasahara, and Anna Kaye have activated their work with social issues in a web of human experience. The familiar yet mysterious drawings of Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design professor/artist Joshua Field probe the human condition with private narratives with drawings grounded in the exploration of interior states and emotions generated by his real-life situations. The powerful charcoal drawing of Anna Kaye focus attention on planet earth and environmental reverence. Exploration of personal identity and the cultural duality of East and West have evolved in Margaret Kasahara’s work to express the relationship of self with inclusion, integration and inner acceptance. The visceral Lumen prints of artist Denis Roussel highlight the epidemic of food waste from photos of Roussel’s family compost.
