About RedLine

Founded in 2008, RedLine was created in response to a lack of support for emerging artists and a dearth of creative opportunities for local residents. The facility’s mission and floor plan actively and holistically support a thriving group of resident artists and provide programming in response to the varied community needs from the surrounding neighborhoods. Built intentionally in Five Points, a Denver neighborhood that has experienced considerable population displacement over the last decade RedLine vast offerings also include viewing art and arts education through a lens of social issues. The unique approach to art creation and consumption has helped the organization ensure equitable access to the arts for under- resourced populations.

About RedLine’s Founder

Photographer and sculptor Laura Merage was born in Tehran, Iran and immigrated to Los Angeles at the age of fifteen. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from the University of Southern California and her Masters Degree in Art from New York University. Laura is the founder of RedLine Art Center, an art incubator promoting the creative expression of visual and performing artists. RedLine was founded to serve as a catalyst for educational activities that foster connections between artists, collectors and the public.
