Sometimes these are one and the same; and other times illusory. Whether it is our bloodlines, experiences, personas, or ancient archetypes that inform and create who we are, we seem to walk in the world with many gifts, talents, truths, illusions, bruises, breaks, and mistakes. We crown each other and ourselves for our achievements, and condemn in times of failure and disappointment. A queen, a bride, a dunce, and a sailor all have distinct head adornments which identify their state of power and pride. We cast away caps that no longer fit properly. We try on many hats throughout our lives. Sometimes we elevate to wearing a crown that goes beyond our earthly egos or praiseworthy prowess and into something that is simple, true, and timeless.
