Next Gallery is pleased to present Barbara Gal’s exhibition, In a Previous Life, and Carolyn Berry’s exhibition, Remnants. Both women use photography and collage techniques to evoke memories and a sense of time and place.

Barbara Gal, In a Previous Life. Photos, collages, fiber art and artist books.

"I have been fascinated by the art and culture of Japan since third grade. People have suggested that I may have been Japanese in a previous incarnation. The pieces in this show will be based on photos, materials, maps and "stuff" from my trips to Japan and Okinawa."

Carolyn Berry, Remnants. Encaustic collage and sculpture.

“I use remnants which are defined as fragments of something that remains after the rest has gone. Dried plants, scraps of paper, found objects, bones, photographs and even creatures are preserved in encaustic wax so that I can give them more time in the universe. “

Next Gallery is an exciting Denver co-op that accepts new members on a monthly basis. This co-op is driven and operated by all the artist members. We are all strong and committed artists that continually push all the artists in this co-op to move in new directions and participate as a cohesive group at all times.
