Emily Hollis - Rhine, 2017 - Watermedia & pencil - 8.5”x6”
Emily Hollis is a Denver fine artist and graduate of the BFA Painting program at Metropolitan State University. Emily’s work explores the artists role as interpreter and concepts perpetuated by Guy Debord. The exhibition, To Drift, features watercolor and multimedia works that reflect Emily’s interest in allowing paint to create paths and dictate, to some degree, her response to the media. Additionally, Hollis has multiple botanical works that inspired her foray into exploring mark making.
TJ Raygun, owner of Neet, chose Emily’s work because it furthers his vision for Neet to be a space that is welcoming by showing work that is affordable and accessible.
