Mark Brasuell: "Schöne Bilder"
Spark Gallery is proud to present new pastel work by Mark Brasuell. Brasuell has been creating large scale pastel works for many years and this is the culmination of several ideas about art. The use of primary colors with tertiary colors, combined with a reverence for shape and form. Reaching back to groundbreaking work by Stuart Davis, Brasuell uses that work as a springboard to create a very personal and lively series of drawings. Unafraid to use primary and bright colors, the goal is to create “beautiful pictures” that are bold, and have an unique presence. This is an incredible show that is not to be missed. Leo Franco: "In Relief"
It seems in a city dominated by of Abstract Expressionists – I am not one. The In Relief series are compositional constructs which are based on arrangements of balance and design. See more of Leo's work at www.leofrancoart.com
Craig Robb: "Remnants of a Thought"
This body of work is a return to Robb's more contextual series of sculptures based in wood and steel. Within these tableaus he incorporates symbolic laden objects to formulate a statement or a question. These sculptures are very metaphorical in nature and reflects his varied opinions about the world he lives in. See more of Craig's work at http://craigrobb.com
