The NCAR Community Art Program is proud to present two new exhibits: Photography by Mark Shegda – Gallery I and Pastel Paintings by Teri Hoyer – Gallery II.

Mark Shegda’s photography is inspired by his love of the outdoors and outdoor sports. His interest in photography was first sparked by the stunning natural beauty of the Rocky Mountains after he moved from Pennsylvania to Colorado over 40 years ago.

His photographic goal is to create visually stunning and spiritually moving imagery that inspires the viewer to appreciate the beauty of the natural world. He enjoys capturing scenic beauty whether it be in grand sweeping landscapes or in smaller more intimate natural scenes, and he especially enjoys printing and sharing his work on canvas.

Shegda’s work will be on display in the NCAR Community Art Gallery I at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Lab from September 8, 2019 to October 26, 2019.

Teri Hoyer’s pastel artwork strives to connect the viewer to the natural world as she experiences it – that connection for her is always soothing. She primarily paints landscapes of Colorado and the Southwest, work that has appeared in many juried art shows and won numerous awards.

Hoyer’s work will be on exhibit in the NCAR Community Art Gallery II at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Lab from September 8, 2019 to October 26, 2019.

NCAR's Mesa Laboratory is located at 1850 Table Mesa Drive in Boulder. Its galleries and Visitor Center are open to the public on weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on weekends and holidays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is no charge for admission.
