The NCAR Community Art Program is proud to present three new exhibits: Judi Dressler in Gallery I, Lisa Lynch in Gallery II and Delcia Litt in Gallery II East End

Judi Dressler of Louisville, Colorado, is a wildlife photographer specializing in birds. She feels lucky to be living in this wondrous, diverse world, where we are treated to wild species of amazing variety and beauty! Judi's goal is to capture some of the marvel and personality of wildlife, and to inspire those who see her photographs to deepen their appreciation of nature, and to protect wildlife in a world where species are disappearing at an alarming rate, due to habitat loss, climate change, and a host of other challenges. Dressler’s work will be on display in the NCAR Community Art Gallery I at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Lab from January 27, 2020 to March 28, 2020.

Lisa Lynch grew up hiking, camping and living in the Colorado mountains and the Denver area. She has won awards for her acrylic and mixed media paintings, and has shown at numerous galleries and juried festivals. She uses her own photography as inspiration for her vibrant and colorful paintings. Lynch’s work will be on exhibit in the NCAR Community Art Gallery II at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Lab from January 27, 2020 to March 28, 2020.

Delcia Litt is a glass and stone mosaic artist with a background in traditional stained glass. She has worked in this field since 1985. She has studied under many significant mentors over the years. She particularly valued her time at the Ravenna, Italy, Mosaic Art School under the tutelage of Luciana Notturni in 2011. There she learned about Roman and Byzantine styles constructed in the old school ways. Most recently she revisited those ancient stone cutting techniques at a workshop by Deb Aldo, a professional stone worker in the USA. She has received many prestigious art awards for her designs in contemporary abstract assemblage mosaics. She does commission art work and now offers workshops in her home town of Erie, Colorado. Litt’s work will be on exhibit in the NCAR Community Art Gallery II – East End at the National Center for Atmospheric Research Mesa Lab from January 27, 2020 to March 28, 2020.

NCAR's Mesa Laboratory is located at 1850 Table Mesa Drive in Boulder. Its galleries and Visitor Center are open to the public on weekdays from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and on weekends and holidays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. There is no charge for admission.
