In the last year, we have experienced a number of incredible celestial phenomena over the Rocky Mountains, including the Great American Eclipse and the Double Super Moons. Investigating the extraordinary quality of light these phenomena radiate over the high-altitude landscape, K Contemporary artist, Sarah Winkler, explores how this light effects our perception, depth, mood and experience.

The exhibition promises to entice the eye with majestic mountainous worlds, as it explores and contemplates the landscapes emerging and floating suspended in a peaceful dream-like state of consciousness.

“In each work, I employ a spatial technique in painting called "equivocal space", which alters depth perspective through color, composition and media to keep your eye engaged and journeying around the image. It is a way that conveys how we move through actual landscapes.”
