This December, K Contemporary is proud to present a group exhibition celebrating K contemporary’s two-year anniversary.

Giving an insight to what K’s artists have been working on recently, and a sneak peak into some of the new directions to come in the next year, this exhibit will be a delightful showing of what is so distinctly K Contemporary.

This second annual group exhibition will feature works by: Hunt Slonem, Andrew Jensdotter, Suchitra Mattai, Daisy Patton, Sarah Winkler, Shawn Huckins, Michael Dowling, Trey Egan, Michael Gadlin, Robin Hextrum, Doug Kacena, Kuzana Ogg, Karen Roehl, Jonathan Saiz, Kevin Sloan, Kristin Stransky, Monique Crine, Nina Tichava, Goran Vejvoda, Ashley Eliza Williams, Mario Zoots and Ken Gun Min, as well as a collaborative installation by Melissa Furness & Rian Kerrane (Represented by Mai Wynn Fine Art).

Since opening in 2017, K Contemporary has cultivated an environment in the historic LoDo district of Denver where artists find inspiration to be even more creative and art connoisseurs learn something new and find their next obsession. Founded by artist, curator, collector, and gallerist Doug Kacena, the gallery explores meaningful topics through engaging exhibitions, pop-up events, and art fairs. Through these immersive and expansive displays, K Contemporary acts as a catalyst to recontextualize how people talk about and experience art.

This annual group exhibit is a unique opportunity to experience a variety of styles, aesthetics and techniques K Contemporary artists are known for, since the gallery usually exhibits solo shows the rest of the year. Featured in the exhibit also will be works from some of the offsite rotating exhibits the gallery has done over the last year. On top of K Contemporary’s in-house exhibits, some of the most impactful displays come in the form of unexpected art interventions Kacena organizes for the artists he represents.
