Jack Estenssoro: Nothing Is Sacred
February 7 - 29, 2020
- Opening Reception: Friday February 7th from 7-11pm
DATELINE is pleased to present Nothing is Sacred, the latest solo exhibition of new works in oil by painter Jack Estenssoro.
Nothing Is Sacred combines old and new in a humorously poignant way, demonstrating that subjects of the past need to be looked at objectively to gain insight into what they really mean, especially with the amount of knowledge and information that we have now. That even though world views may change humanity is obligatorily connected to the past.
Through his paintings, Estenssoro processes all this information while trying to make sense of our position and heading in a post-internet world. Estenssoro pokes fun at pop-culture, art history, even internet memes and in this way nothing is off limits, nothing is sacred.
Jack Estenssoro is a self-proclaimed Neo-Surreal-Realist. Born in 1990 in Denver, Estenssoro has experimented with art since his adolescence. Starting in 2015 oil painting became his primary medium of choice. This is the second time that Estenssoro has shown with DATELINE and his first solo exhibition with us.
