The Way I See It

Four Elements

Art Gym Denver

June 14 - July 6, 2018

  • Opening Reception: Thursday, June 14 from 5-8pm; special dance performance by Phannie Haver at 6:15pm
The Way I See It, a curated exhibition featuring the work of member-artists—Julia Kuster, Maxwell Roath, Mackenzie Schmidt and Brady Smith—with different perspectives using different techniques: stone lithography, etching, charcoal and acrylic. Their works will be showcased in the Art Gym Gallery from June 14 to July 6.

Four Elements brings together the metal and fire of metalsmith Randy Burns with the wood and water of print maker Leon Loughridge. Randy’s series is composed of six brooches created in the same design using different techniques. Leon will exhibit woodblock prints and folios from the book “Gorge Songs,” a collaboration with Beat poet John Macker. Four Elements will be featured in the Common Space Gallery from June 14 to July 6. Meet Leon and hear a presentation about his work on June 15 from 6-8PM. Meet Randy and learn more about his metalsmithing techniques during his Artist Talk on Saturday, June 16 from 2-4PM.

Both galleries are open to the public Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibits will be available through July 6, 2018.
