86 is new work by Clay Hawkley that muses on a convenience store's archive of banned customers. The drawings, collages and sculpture highlight the archive’s handwritten notes, doodles and imagery as inquiries on the store’s campaign for justice, the power dynamics of surveillance and the bravado of taking matters into your own hands.

Clay Hawkley is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Boulder. Hawkley’s work integrates a fine art education with a blue collar aesthetic in open-ended investigations of found objects, collage, drawing and installation. His work has been shown in exhibitions throughout Colorado since 2006. He has attended residencies at the Vermont Studio Center, Grin City Collective and is a current resident at RedLine in Denver.
