Katie Taft
Imaginary Friends: New work by Katie Taft, Mapleton Expeditionary School of the Arts and
Adams County Connections, a program of Peer Assistance Services, Inc.

(from the press release:)

Join us for an evening to celebrate the exciting work created during this residency. Katie's work explores the real and the imaginary, using sculpture and photography. The sculptures are based on people that she knows; she combines their modern lives with the stories of long ago and far away. For this residency she worked on a much larger, human scale. Students from Adams County Connections, a program of Peer Assistance Services, Inc. and Mapleton Expeditionary School for the Arts are collaborating with her, to think about people in their lives and research myth, folklore, and fairy tales. The result fills PlatteForum with imaginary friends of all sorts mingling together.
