![]() Mark Brasuell - Ether (from the press release) EDGE Gallery is proud to present new work by Mark Brasuell. Fresh off an exciting year of showing, public engagements, and being published, Mark is continuing his fascination with complex imagery. The title is a vague reference to the original name of his hometown of Roscoe, TX, but is more in line with his work with landscape, abstraction, and a preoccupation with how his work is “viewed”. Some of the pieces incorporate a constructed language, created by Aidan Grey. The use of this text points to deliberately concealing language and its “uses”. The embodiment of the idea is “You and Me”, a large 16 foot artwork that integrates Grey’s glyphs. Grand in scale, complicated in imagery, and bold colors typify Brasuell’s work and is sure to be a highlight of the fall art season. http://www.markbrasuell.com Edge Gallery 3658 Navajo Street Denver, CO 80211-3037 303.477.7173 Fri: 6:00 - 10:00 PM Sat/Sun: Noon - 5:00 PM http://edgeart.org
