WOW is Core’s annual community outreach event and is a Denver metro-area tradition for over 26 years. WOW short for Wide Open Whatever features work from artists of all skill levels including novices, emerging and established professionals. Its purpose is to provide local creative working in a variety of media an opportunity to show their work in a professional gallery setting. The WOW show runs March 9 – 26 in the main gallery.

Featured in the Annex gallery during the WOW show will be emerging artist Mark Fitzsimmons. Prosperity is the title of the installation and it explores the concept of conflicting ideas in a time of unlimited information. Fitzsimmons is a former US army medic and veteran and current Rocky Mountain College of Art and Design student. His work is both thought provoking and relevant, speaking to and commenting on events taking place in our society today. Fitzsimmons is proving to be a talented and passionate artist and one to follow in the years to come.
