This Arvada Center favorite returns for its 46th year. The exhibition features more than 400 artworks from 23 Jefferson County High Schools submitted to 14 categories, in which they can win awards. Categories include ceramics, crafts and fibers, drawing, painting, jewelry, printmaking, photography, and more. This exhibition featuring the next generation of artists who go on to achieve great things is a must-see!

Naomi Scheck: "Hewn" - Jeffco Alumni Exhibition

The Arvada Center welcomes back Naomi Scheck who began her artistic career in the Arvada Center’s annual Jefferson County High School Art Exhibition while attending Arvada High School from 1998-2002 with Linda Scholes, featured in the Jeffco Teacher Solo Exhibition, as an art teacher. Naomi went on to receive her BFA from the University of Denver and her MFA from Colorado State University. Now a talented professional artist, she returns to exhibit with a massive solo exhibition of her manipulated and cut paper compositions.

Linda Scoles, Carpe Diem: Celebrating the Human Spirit - Jeffco Teacher Solo Exhibition

In conjunction with the annual Jeffco Schools High School Art Exhibition, the Arvada Center recognizes the teachers that educate and train future artists with the Jeffco Teacher Solo Exhibition. Now retired, Linda Scholes taught at Arvada High School, where Naomi Scheck, featured in the Jeffco Alumni Exhibition, was one of her students. Linda studied art at the University of Northern Colorado and the San Francisco Art Institute, and has continued studying at Anderson Ranch, Santa Fe, and the Art Students League in Denver. Carpe Diem includes examples of Linda’s recent abstract works.
