About the show: Dynamic images that explode off the surface, Amy Thornton's paintings are all about energy. Her new acrylic paintings on Plexiglas shadow boxes reveal multi-dimensional depth and detail.

Artist summary: In her fourth decade of creating art, Amy Thornton received a BFA from CSU. She moved to Manhattan in the 80's where she had numerous group & solo exhibitions. She returned to Denver in the mid-90's and has specialized in creating custom, contemporary commissions. She is primarily known for her large works on Plexiglas.
