"Rethought, Reworked and Re-Painted"Sliding Door GalleryAugust 3 - September 1, 2007 Artists Tony Zellaha and Evan Borman with "Cars in Yard" Coming off the heels of the "Charity by Numbers" show at LA's Corey Helford Gallery (where local underground artists reworked classic paint-by-numbers pieces and auctioned the works for charity), Sliding Door Gallery on Santa Fe Drive has put together a juried group show "Rethought, Reworked and Re-Painted," featuring Denver artists taking thrift store finds to new heights. The show is as much fun for the viewer as for the artists, who take great inspiration from the commerce, craft and (in some cases) heart that went into the original pieces, imbuing the reworks with satire and a keen aesthetic eye for the ironic. Until September 1st at Sliding Door Gallery on Santa Fe Drive. - KLH
