Animal Lovers come to "The Dog and Pony Show" at Core New Art Space. A variety of critters, large and small, real and not, will adorn the gallery. A reoccurring subject in art has been work about and including animals. From the Sphinx at Giza to Picasso's Minotaurs, from the caves at Lascaux to Rauschenberg's Monogram, animals have been prominent in sculpture and painting throughout art history. In this exhibit, juried by Craig Marshall Smith, local artist and teacher, Colorado artists were invited to submit work interpreting the theme of animals. Meet the animals and the artists at the howl'n reception Friday, July 11th, from 6 - 9 pm.
