Four Artists Working in EncausticMark Rediske, Cindy Stockton Moore, Tracey Adams, and Tony SchermanSandy Carson GalleryNovember 30th, 2007 - January 4th, 2008Opening reception: November 30th 6-9 pm Mark Rediske, Encaustic on Ceramic Vases and Untitled Encaustic on Panel - Photos by Ken Hamel/DenverArts.org Encaustic is a process whereby the artist works with beeswax and various pigments as pallate, and the latest show at Sandy Carson brings together four artists all working with encaustic each in their own way. I especially enjoyed Cindy Stockton Moore's collage-like panels featuring colorful chunks of sculpted wax, and be sure to take in Tony Scherman's splendid large portraits.
