Dispersion is a multi-part, large-scale drawing created during Ms.
Fowler's 2008 Winter Residency at the MacNamara Foundation in Westport Island, Maine. Inspiration for Dispersion came from seed heads riding the winds in the Wet Mountain Valley of southern Colorado. Other mixed media works on paper will also be exhibited.
Ms. Fowler has exhibited her work nationally, in Denver and in Front Range venues including the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art, the Emmanuel Gallery on Denver’s Auraria Campus, Pirate Gallery, Sliding Door Gallery, and the Gallery of Contemporary Art at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
Ms. Fowler has a BFA Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania near Pittsburgh, has studied with Homare Ikeda and Michael Crespo, and has lived and worked in Colorado for the past 6 years. She has been a member of Denver's Sliding Door Gallery since 2005.
