Frank O’Neill & Jonathan Hils: The Man ShowWalker Fine ArtNovember 7, 2008 - January 3, 2009Opening Reception Friday November 7 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Frank O'Neill - "She Got Sasha and I Got Hoover" (from the press release) Walker Fine Art presents Frank O’Neill & Jonathan Hils, featuring mixed-media 2D works by Frank O’Neill and steel sculpture by Jonathan Hils. An opening reception, which is free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, November 7, 2008, 6-9pm at the gallery in the Prado building on 11th & Cherokee Streets in Denver’s Golden Triangle Museum District. The exhibition’s featured artists will attend the opening. The exhibition will continue through Saturday, January 3, 2009 during regular gallery hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-6pm, and First Fridays of each month, 6-9pm, or by appointment. However, I have not lost my desire to communicate a social narrative. As a communicator, using my art to speak, I struggle in telling you (the viewer) what to interpret. In the words of Pablo Picasso, “Only a fool tells you what they are thinking.” ~Frank O’Neill My creative interests are informed from a variety of sources including biology, industry, networks, systematic progression, crafts, ornament, textiles and drawing. My general aim is to synthesize these entities into works that allow for both an internal and external experience both psychologically and physically. This experience is defined by the delineation of interior and exterior by the permeable membrane.
