Leo Franco
Zip37
July 6th to July 22nd
The exhibition opens with a reception for the
artist on Friday, July 6th, 2007, from 7 - 10:00 PM
ZIP37 is pleased to
present new works by artist Leo Franco.
Franco’s minimal constructions created from
wood and found objects are only a natural
progression from his box constructions of the
past. “As a non-objective artist I am
fascinated with forms, lines and patterns and
knowing how to balance these elements,”
says Leo. “My intuitive use of harmony and
order within the artwork gives it it’s
expression.” Franco, who has been exhibiting
in Denver since the early 90s, has been
associated with many galleries and artists’
cooperatives such as Asylum Gallery
(founding member) and Core New Art Space.
His works are in many private and public
collections locally and nationally.
