"Dialog/Art"Sandra Phillips GalleryAugust 1 – August 30, 2008Opening reception Friday August 1st from 5:00 - 7:00 Margaret Kasahra - Flat Face (from the press release) "Dialog/Art" features artworks that present a dialogue on issues surrounding contemporary art today: Personal Identity, Place, the built Environment, Nature and Memory. Although artists’ concerns are very much in the present, they often refer to the past. This exhibition proposes an active conversation in dynamic dialogue connecting works of art in diverse mediums. The democracy of art honors the individual’s creative vision and includes a broad perspective of interpretation.
