Jim Caldwell and Jude MoralesNext GalleryAugust 22 - September 7, 2008Opening Reception - Friday August 22, 2008 from 6:00 – 10:00 pm Jude Morales - "Ellington: Prelude to a Kiss" 2008 (from the press release) Jim Caldwell: "Heart And Soul" What is it that we find compelling, involving of our intention and interest in spite of being illogical, dangerous, or even seemingly foolish? Well, it is matters of the heart and soul. The soul knows what it wants, and does not care if it makes 'perfect sense'. This work explores this concept further from the work I did last year. It is a continuation of the work that was inspired by the visual sights of time worn architecture of Brooklyn, which I feel is indicative of some of the structures I have built in life that are showing the wear of use and time, and are being reborn into new lives, gaining the vigor of new inspiration from news hearts and souls. I hope you enjoy and relate to the sights and feelings in this work. Jude Morales: "Recent Work" This show is a collection of my most recent works that incorporate mixed media, three dimensional objects, articulating pieces and ink prints.
