Denver Public Art is hosting a dedication at La Alma Neighborhood House featuring local Denver artist Andrea Moore on January 15. Moore is an artist and entrepreneur using writing, performance and photography to foster dialogue and connection across social and cultural lines.

Moore created an “Artist in Residence” workshop for students of The Bridge Project at La Alma Neighborhood House. Moore engaged students in a 4-week after school/weekend creative poetry workshop designed to generate content created by youth for a permanent word art display project. Word art clusters of content have been displayed in various interior areas of the La Alma including the computer room and open space room.

Moore is passionate about creativity, education, culture and travel. In addition to her creative pursuits, she is proud to be a co-owner of The Wayfaring Band, an organization that uses travel as a means to equip young adults who experience special needs, as well as emerging thought leaders, with the social tools to deftly navigate the diverse needs of a global community.
