It’s spring and everything is coming alive again, including the creative spirit! The resident artists at 910Arts (also known as the 910Artists) have a fresh new schedule of art classes to inspire you. The 910Arts facility is located at 910 Santa Fe Drive in Denver's Art District on Santa Fe. Feel free to stop by to explore the building and meet the artists. There is plenty to see and a lovely courtyard to rest and enjoy lunch from the adjacent Studio 6 coffee shop. For more information visit www.910artists.com.

  • Introductory Mosaic Art for Indoor and Outdoor
In this 3 week course (9 hours), students will learn to design, choose materials, use tools, and create their own beautiful mosaic.

  • Intermediate Oil Painting
In this five week class students will take value, color and personal goals further. We will take rendering and subject matter to the next level completing highly focused and conceptualized work.

  • Oil Painting for Beginners
In this four week class students will learn the basics of oil painting. We'll explore various painting styles including Master's and modern techniques.

  • Paper Mache
Explore sculpture in a fun and not threatening media. This class will introduce you to the art of Paper Mache. Each person will create their own armature and finished sculpture. Paper mache is made mostly of recycled material so all you will need to bring with you is some ideas, old wire hangers, newspaper and trinkets or stuff from your junk drawer. Ability: all levels, adults 18 and up.

  • Soul Painting for Beginners
In this three week class we will approach painting from the automatic point of view and let it flow! We will explore symbolism, iconography, dreamscapes, guided mediation and other ways to bring the subconscious into conscious art.

  • Fun, Functional Floor Cloth & Place Mat Art
Modern floor cloth art is created from canvas, gesso, acrylic and many coats of tough polyurethane. Floor cloths are beautiful, durable, easy to clean and add a unique touch of art to your floor.   • Adventures in Paste Paper
Spend the morning creating original hand painted papers. Paste Paper refers to a method of applying a paste mixed with acrylic or tempera pigment to damp paper. Once the color is brushed onto the surface a variety of objects are dragged or combed through the mixture to achieve patterns and designs. Always a surprise! Materials included, a supplemental supply list (things to bring from home) will be provided upon registration.

  • Binding the Unusual - Rigid Page Binding
Using rigid pages allows an artist to work with materials such as plexiglass, glass, wood and metal or cardboard. Such techniques are particularly useful for an artist working with sculptural book forms. Bookbinding experience is not required. In this workshop five different rigid page structures are taught through model building.
