Join us for the 3rd annual West Colfax MuralFest on Saturday, August 12th, 2017 from 11am-6pm! Held in the heart of 40 West Arts District at Lamar Station Plaza (6501 W Colfax Avenue, Lakewood, CO 80214–See map here), the plaza is home to two art galleries, an award-winning brewery, and Casa Bonita, where weekend visitors to this nationally-known restaurant run in the thousands.

The Athena Project has assembled an eclectic and talented group of female performers to enhance the MuralFest experience. Experience poet Ruthie Jordan, an advocate & activist for the Deaf community. She co-founded a grassroots movement, the Audism Free America, which stands for Deaf individuals' human rights. She also founded the ASL & Deaf Pride March. Mezzo Soprano, Eve Orenstein, who is the director of the Colorado chapter of Opera on Tap and produces and performs regularly in the Denver/Boulder area and at Lincoln Center in New York with the National Chorale will kick us off at 12:45pm. Eleven year old Emelise Munoz, a soulful singer, songwriter, and musician from Broomfield and recent First Place Winner at Stars of Tomorrow will join us at 4:20pm. Samba Colorado will close the day with a vibrant and colorful Brazilian dance performance.
