Call for Entries: Women's Caucus for Art Colorado presents Metamorphosis

Entry Deadline: September 6, 2017

wcaYou are invited to present your interpretation of Metamorphosis in any medium. Size limitations 8 feet high by 24 inches wide; no performance art accepted.

Mutation, transmutation, evolution, rebirth, alteration, aging, reshaping, development, innovation, change, revolution, renewal, transition, growth –A profound change in form from one state to the next. Examples include; the life history of an organism, as from the caterpillar to the pupa and from the pupa to the adult butterfly, or the lifecycle of a human from birth to toddler to teen to adult to death…as if transformed by circumstance, magic or witchcraft…complete change in appearance or character.

Bobbi Walker, juror, founded Walker Fine Art in 1999, and opened the gallery in June of 2002. In 2012 Bobbi was appointed to the Denver Commission on Cultural Affairs and is currently serving her 5th year as a commissioner in addition to serving on the Denver Art Museum Board of the DAM Contemporaries for 3 years. She is a Heart Club member of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver serving on the membership committee. She is a 1944 Society level member of the Clyfford Still Museum, and served on the membership committee for 2 years. She was President of the Denver Art Dealers Association (DADA) for 3 years, and is currently an active member. She has served on the boards of the Golden Triangle Museum District (GTMD) and the Golden Triangle Neighborhood Association (GTA), Denver Art Dealers Association as well as served on the Clyfford Still Museum membership committee in addition to many other organizations in her community. She is a member of the Colorado Business Community for the Arts (CBCA), Arts for Colorado, Visit Denver, Redline, the Downtown Denver Partnership and the Denver Film Society. Bobbi has been a speaker on art at many civic functions as well as lecturing at many of Denver’s higher educational institutions.
