Call for Entries: Art for Hope from Athena Project and Print Pointe

Submission deadline: Friday June 5, 2020

3 women artists will receive $100 each for selected works

Women artists! Show us something good, uplifting and hopeful and you could earn $100. Athena Project and Print Pointe have partnered to sponsor Art for Hope, an opportunity for your work to be featured on postcards sent to the residents and employees of assisted living communities around the metro area. We know that these populations suffer isolation and vulnerability. Most folks have been confined to their rooms and have been unable to see family members for a very long time. Your work will offer hope and remind them that they are not alone.
  • Submissions must be received by midnight on June 5, 2020.
  • Artwork will be reviewed and selected by a panel of judges who are women leaders from art institutions and galleries across the Denver Metro area.
  • Art may be designed in whatever medium and dimension the artist chooses (i.e. graphic design, or a photo of a sculpture, or a watercolor painting) and must be accompanied by a quote or a message of hope.
  • Print ready artwork must fit on a 6” x 9” postcard with bleed. We will add the logos of Print Pointe and Athena Project to the final postcard on the back side.
  • Print Pointe will offer a beautiful larger size print of the artists’ work on either acrylic or metal. (¼” acrylic or brushed aluminum composite, up to 20” x 16” with stand-off mounts)
  • Postcard deliveries will be made by the end of June.
  • Athena Project and Print Pointe will highlight the winning artists on social media and in an upcoming newsletter.
  • Artists who identify as women of color are encouraged to apply.
